Doctors’ Appointments

Mon - Fri  8.45am - 6pm by appointment (until 8pm on Mon, Tues & Wed)

• A Selection of appointments can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
• Some appointments can be booked 2 days in advance.
• The remainder are booked on the day.
• Demand is carefully monitored - please use the appointments system responsibly.

Booked Telephone consultations are also available as an alternative if appropriate.

Sit-and-wait - we also offer an open surgery system from 11am to 12pm each day. We are not able to offer you a choice of doctor but guarantee you will be seen by one of the GP’s.

Nurse Practitioner

We also have a nurse practitioner who has undertaken further training at degree level to advance her assessment and diagnostic skills. She is able to prescribe if required. Please check with the reception staff to see if you are able to be seen by the nurse practitioner.

Nurses’ Appointments

Mon - Fri  9.00am - 12noon and 2.00pm to 5.30pm by appointment.

Our nursing staff are on duty each day and are available for consultations.

Appointments System

We are always trying to improve our appointments system so that patients are offered a mutually convenient time and not kept waiting unnecessarily for the doctor. On occasions the doctor may be called away on an emergency - we will try to keep you informed if this happens and offer you a suitable alternative.

Please help us by cancelling appointments you no longer wish to keep.

All consultations are confidential but it helps if you could let our receptionists know if you are coming for a cervical smear, vaccination or other procedure so you are offered a suitable length appointment and we can be adequately prepared to deal with your needs.
