💉 FLU VACCINATIONS 💉
Thank you for all your patience whilst we have been trying to work out how to manage the flu clinics on top of COVID safety restrictions this year.
Initially we said we would text patients with an appointment but this has led to a high ‘did not attend’ rate so we have decided to revert back to the old fashioned way of patients booking their own appointments.
You can do this in two ways:
1) by making a request on AskMyGP and we will contact you. This will be the easiest and quickest route.
2) by telephoning the surgery – please be aware our telephone lines are extremely busy at the moment and you may not get through first time.
If you have been sent an appointment by text message already, this will still stand.
PLEASE NOTE in the first instance we are offering appointment to those patients:
1) that have been officially shielding throughout COVID
2) that are deemed as high risk because of a medical condition
We are trying to book these patients in over the next two weeks and will try and vaccinate all the other eligible groups in October.
We do not have any under 65’s vaccines in until after the 16th October (subject to delivery) but we have slots available to book from 19th October 2020 onwards.
Patients aged 50-64 will still be expected to wait until a further national announcement is made in November.
Children’s nasal flu’s are available in the practice now and you can book in the same way as detailed above.
Please bear with us while we navigate our way through this year’s campaign, most of which has been outside of our control.
